Updated by Sean Haley, who maintains the organ.
The organ, while in reasonable condition, suffers the fate of inadequate pipe support for soft linen lead interior pipework. Many larger stops including larger reeds exhibit considerable structural movement and even partial collapse to the point of pipes not speaking properly or at all. It is unknown why such repairs were not addressed or considered when the organ was relocated.
Update through information from Joe O'Donnell -- Relocated with minor changes to new building in 2004.
Updated through online information from James R. Stettner. -- The organ is free-standing and encased in a left-side balcony at the front of the Auditorium in Hertz Hall. The Pedal is housed in its own case to the left of the main case. The main case houses Manual I with the attached keydesk. Manual II is in a case in Rückpositiv position on the gallery rail.
