NOTES
This was a major rebuild of the congregation's previous pipe organ built
by Balcom and Vaughan in 1960 as their opus 669 for the previous edifice
known as Hughes Memorial Methodist. It was 2-manuals and 15 ranks.
As rebuilt for Edmonds UMC, a new Great Principal chorus on an exposed
chest was provided. The rest of the non-expressive Great and the Pedal
were installed in a chamber behind and to the left of the exposed pipes.
The expressive Swell is behind and to the right.
Ranks retained from the previous instrument include the Great Gemshorn,
Swell 8' Gambe, Swell 8' Voix Celeste (the former Dulciana revoiced), and
Pedal 4' Flute/Swell 2' Flute (former Melodia with new treble extension).
The blank tablets on the Great are intended for an 8' Trompette/4' Clairon
unit of 73 pipes. Two of the four blank tablets in the Swell are intended
for a 1-1/3' Larigot and a III Cymbale. The three blank tablets in the
Pedal are intended for a 16' Principal, 16' Bombarde, and 8' Trompette.
