NOTES
The organ is free-standing and encased at the front, left side of the contemporary brick
sanctuary. The 5-sectional façade contains 33-pipes arranged: 5-9-5-9-5. With hard walls,
a hard floor, and a high ceiling, the organ enjoys enviable acoustics.
Some of the pipework is recycled from previous organs that have met various fates. All of
the used pipework has been restored, refurbished and blended with the new pipework. The
Great III Mixture is actually II-ranks for the first 12 notes. The Swell 1-3/5' Tierce
plays for 49 notes from CC - c 49 and the top octave repeats. The 1-1/3' Larigot is from
the 2-2/3' Nazard and also plays for 49 notes before the top octave repeats. The Pedal 16'
Bassoon is an extension of the 8' Trumpet.
The console is a used, recycled Reuter console from Augustana Lutheran in Portland, OR.
It was built as opus 958 in 1957 and controlled 12 voices, 12 ranks, 18 speaking stops,
and 847 pipes. The console was replaced at Augustana Lutheran in 1987 by a new III-manual
console built as part of an organ enlargement project completed by Rene Marceau & Associates.
