This entry represents the rebuilding of an existing organ. Identified through online information from Bob Knight [June 17, 2026: The First Baptist organ was originally a Murray Harris organ, installed in the late 1890's - perhaps by one of the Murray Harris predecessor entities to the Murray Harris Co. It was rebuilt and enlarged by Estey about 1915, and rebuilt and enlarged by Moller in the mid 1930's to a four manual organ of about 40 ranks. In the mid 1960's it was rebuilt again by Ken Simpson with a Schantz console to a 3 manual organ of about 50 ranks, the Moller Solo division disappearing at that time. In the 1980's the church moved to the Clairemont area and the building was sold and turned into lofts. The organ was removed and put into storage at the church's new location, but was never reinstalled. In the mid 1990's it was bought by Robert Knight, who had attended First Baptist as a child and had fond memories of the organ in its Moller configuration, and installed in a building built for it near his home in Vista. About 2005 it was rebuilt and installed at St. Martha's Catholic Church in Murrieta by Robert Knight Jr. with a new case, facade and console, where it is still extant and in regular use.
