Andrew Henderson on May 8th, 2026:

According to the Long Branch Record (September 29, 1905) the organ was purchased from the First Baptist Church of Hornellsville, NY, and was replaced by a new Moller organ in 1917. According to a Carnegie Corporation application blank from 1915, the church stated the instrument was 65 years old, suggesting the organ was originally built ca. 1850. According to both Hornellsville and Brattleboro, VT, contemporary newspaper sources, the organ was originally installed in the Congregational Church in Brattleboro, VT and sold to the Hornellsville congregation in 1882.
