According to the Sioux City Journal (June 2, 1977), the organ was to be dedicated June 5, 1977. The article stated that a 1949 Kilgen organ was purchased from St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, East Detroit, MI, and installed by the Scott Wheeler Co. of Bay City, MI. The organ was unaltered save for the addition of a new rank of pipes to form the organ’s facade.
