According to “Early Saint John Methodism and History of Centenary Church” (1890) Destroyed by fire in 1877. When the church was rebuilt an instrument by an unknown builder originally in the Mechanics’ Institute was modified and installed. [ed.: replaced by Casavant Frères Ltée., Opus 108, 1899]
