Jim Stettner on December 30th, 2025:

Updated from posted Facebook information from the owner [December 30, 2025]: Out with the Wicks Gedeckt and in with another Estey rank! I've had the 16 Swell Bourdon from Opus #2075 (1925) for about a decade now, and I was happy to include it for this instrument. I've been using the bottom 12 of the 16ft as my Pedal rank (Bourdon "en-chamade"), which replaced the original reed bass. It's nothing personal against Wicks, but the original Gedeckt was voiced for a 200+ seat church and did not fit well in this little room, even after slightly lowering the wind pressure. The Estey Bourdon is smaller scaled, very sweet and fits my scheme perfectly! I did keep the top 37 trebles of the Wicks Gedeckt to keep the 97-pipe rank complete.
