This was an extensive renovation, updating, revoicing and minor tonal changes to 1967 Austin Op. 2470; a new choir console was installed, which controls the entire organ. At the time of the original installation, the drawknob console was placed in a 7-foot-deep pit in the front right corner of the console, where it still resides; this put it on the level of the front platform so it could be rolled out for concerts. Alas, directing the choir from such an unfortunate position was quite a challenge; so Ron Pearson, the longtime organist-music director and onetime Austin rep, built a choir console for the choirloft; when Foley-Baker renovated the organ in 2014, they provided a new choir console.
