According to The Branford Expositor of February 1, 1895, a third (Choir) manual was added to the existing Marshall Brothers organ at the behest of Mr. Rogers, the church's organist. The article describes in detail both tracker and electric action and lauds the new opportunities regarding console placement with the invention of "Edison's latest and most improved battery." The Choir manual was also wired to be able to play a few stops from the Great manual.
