Andrew Henderson on May 26th, 2023:

From The Windsor Star (February 2, 1963): "Board of trustees at Devine Street United Church announced today they will install a $33,200 organ to be completed by the first of December. The trustees have signed a contract with Legge Organ Company, Limited, of Islington for the building and installation of the pipe organ. The specification calls for a three manual instrument with 37 speaking stops. Of the 2,648 pipes to be used, 1,700 will be imported from Holland. Two hundred pipes will come from England, with the remainder being taken from the existing organ. The chimes now in use will be retained, but will be provided with a new action. The organist will have 61 stop keys with which to control the resources of the instrument, along with a number of couplers, other accessories and indicators. The new organ replaces a three manual pipe organ which has been in use since 1924."

Ian Mason on September 7th, 2022:

In 1983, prior to the demolition of the original sanctuary (built in the year 1900), the organ was removed. It is believed that it was re-located to a Roman Catholic Church in Iowa.

Ian Mason on September 7th, 2022:

"About 700 pipes from the 1924 Woodstock [Organ Builders, Woodstock, Ontario] instrument were retained in the design." (The Diapason, April, 1964, pg. 48)

Ian Mason on November 16th, 2021:

One-third of the ranks from an unidentified pipe organ installed in 1924 were added to the Legge Organ Co. instrument.
