From the NYC AGO NYC Organ Project: On May 13, 1888, the congregation opened their present church, a Gothic Revival building that could accomodate 1,000 persons and cost $70,000. The tower contains a chime of 11 bells cast by Meneely & Co. of Troy, NY, in 1910. The spire has since been removed from the tower. In the Articles of Agreement (October 18, 1909) between J.H. & C.S. Odell and St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church we read Odell built a two-manual organ with tubular-pneumatic action, a console with tilting tablets, and gilded gold-colored display pipes. Total cost of the organ was $6,000. This organ was restored by Odell in 1957.
