The original contract price was $15,000. This was the third organ installed at St. Stephen's. It was preceded [presumably in the current building] by an 1864 Simmons, which was preceded by an 1825 Hall & Erben. The Haskell firm returned in 1919 to enlarge the organ. Documentation of the work has not been found as of 2021. Wicks rebuilt the organ in 1953 as its Opus 3296.
