This is a rebuild of an existing organ. Identified by T. Bradford Willis, DDS, using information found in 125 Years of Faith: A History Gethsemane Lutheran Church, 1868-1993, Austin, Texas.
The original congregation was known as the Swedish Evangelical Lutheran Church of Austin. The name was later changed to the Gethsemane Lutheran Church of Austin.
In 1963, the Wicks Opus 3066 organ was rebuilt (by unknown builder) and relocated to the gallery of the new (present) church edifice at 200 West Anderson Lane, Austin, Texas. This organ was rebuilt again in 1977 (by unknown builder) and later rebuilt by John T. Fort in 1985.
