Organ relocated without any change.
Identified by James R. Stettner, using information from this web site: http://john-organclearinghouse.blogspot.com/2012/09/0-0-1-1845-10522-organ-clearing-house.html.
-- In his September 1, 2012 Blogspot account, John Bishop writes, "St Francis Episcopal Church is in Holden, Massachusetts, about 15 miles east of South Barre. Several of the parishioners from Christ Church in South Barre had begun worshipping in Holden, and some people wondered if the Hook & Hastings organ in Christ Church would be appropriate for installation at St. Francis. We compared measurements in the two buildings, and sure enough the organ would fit beautifully. The Vestry of St. Francis put that project together in record time, and we are in midst of relocating that organ now. It-s especially meaningful for the members of the former Christ Church to be able to bring their organ with them as they suffer the loss of their church and work to get used to a new worshipping life."
