Updated through online information from David Poile. -- The Barckhoff organ was unfortunately discarded in 2001 because it no longer functioned. The church now uses an electronic device.
This entry describes an original installation of a new pipe organ.
Identified by John Speller, using information found in "The Diapason,� 1:2 (January 1910), p. 7.
-- The organ was stated to be remarkable in two ways. It had a facade 55 ft. wide. It also had tubular-pneumatic action with a console detached 50 ft. from the instrument "without relay or intermediate." [1]
This church was St. Rose of Lima, Rockaway Beach, Long Island, New York and should not be confused with St. Rose of Lima, Queens Rockaway, New York.
