Identified through on-line information from Jim Thompson. -- In 1998, Visser-Rowland added the 16' Pedal Principal extension to the existing Phelps organ. The stop is on side chests outside the proscenium arch where the main organ is located. 1998 also saw the console updated and the combination action changed to multi-level with sequencer, etc. (probably with MIDI) In conversations with LP Associates-Emeritii, the 16' Principal was not originally included, although it was originally intended by Mr. Phelps, but the reasons for its exclusion are unclear after all this time (the arch and alcove do have somewhat limited space, so that may have been a factor, as well as funding at the time [1974] may have prevented a full 16'.
