The organ was sold and removed in 2011 and will be restored and installed in a church in a different state. This organ was the one used for President Gerald and Betty Ford wedding in Grace Episcopal Church (Grand Rapids) in 1948.
Identified through on-line information from Chad Boorsma -- The organ was originally installed in Grace Episcopal Church in Grand Rapids, Michigan, in 1930. It was moved to Grace's new building in 1953 and then sold to Zion in 1981 when Grace Church purchased a Noack organ. FROM ZION'S DEDICATION PROGRAM: "Because of its large size, magnificent craftsmanship, and beautiful tonal qualities, this organ is indeed an historically valuable example of the great orchestral organs built in the early part of this century." The organ underwent repairs ca. 2007 by G. M. Buck Pipe Organs. However, the organ is currently unplayable.
