Identified through on-line information from Mark Henderson. -- Wangerin Player 5 model opus #596. I was told that this organ was originally installed in a funeral parlor in Madison, Wisconsin. I purchased it from a private seller who had only that information to offer. The organ is being renovated/ restored and placed in my home complete with the original Zephyr blower, swell shades and 1 chime. I am adding three ranks (8'Vox Celeste, 4' Harmonic flute, 8' wood flute) to make the organ total of 6 ranks plus treble/ bass extensions (12 note 16' stopped wood). The Salicional 8 was pretty banged up so I am replacing that rank with a Hilgreen Lane stop of the same name. The other 2 original ranks are in great original condition. Original electro pneumatic switching is being rebuilt and used for original 3 ranks. New ranks are getting electric Gang switching. Player is being restored and original rolls have been located . Owner (me) is adding a MIDI player which will directly play from the Swell manual only (every stop is in the Swell anyway). The pipework is installed in a chamber in the rear of the home and the console is residing in the front of the home resulting in a more blended sound throughout.
