Database Manager on March 8th, 2007:

Identified through online information from James R. Stettner. -- This was a rebuild of the existing 1928 Guenther organ - which itself had been an electrification and rebuild of an 1872 E. & G.G. Hook & Hastings from Trinity Episcopal in Portland. Balcom and Vaughan added a new 8-4-2-III principal chorus, as well as new chests, reservoirs, etc. The existing Guenther console was retained and reworked. The organ contains 5 of the original Hook ranks and 4 of the Guenther ranks. The Swell 8' Trumpet was added in 1975 by René Marceau to replace the original Guenther 8' Oboe.

Related Instrument Entries: Guenther Organ Co. (1928) , E. & G.G. Hook & Hastings (Opus 652, 1872)
