Updated through online information from James R. Stettner. -- I have a recollection of Minister of Music James G. Welty telling me that the Great 8' Second Diapason and the Swell 8' Diapason were swapped as a part of the tonal changes in 1979.

Identified through online information from James R. Stettner. -- This was a selective rebuild with tonal changes to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the organ. No new chests were added. But original Möller ranks were replaced with new pipes - flues from Klann in Waynesboro, Virginia, and voiced by Kees DeRooy; and reeds from A. R. Schopp in Alliance, Ohio and voiced by Charles Oiesen - who also revoiced the Nason Flute. Mr. Minear did selective revoicing of existing ranks to better blend with newly added pipes. The original ivory drawknobs were buffed and re-engraved by Mr. Jack Marsh of Portland, Oregon. The Rededication Concert was held May 6, 1979 with the church's Minister of Music, James G. Welty, performing. The recital included works by J.S. Bach; 4 settings of "Herzlich thut mich verlangen" by Johann G. Walther, Johann Kuhnau, Johann Pachelbel, and Johannes Brahms; Maurice Greene; Franz J. Haydn; César Franck; Jose Lidon; Leo Sowerby; and Jean Langlais. Sadly, the organ was replaced. Some of the pipework was retained in the new Jaeckel, and other pipework went to First United Methodist in Portland. The cherry console remained local.
