"Although the college was non-sectarian, religious observance at Vassar began in 1865 on the third and fourth floors of Main Building, where a portion of the large building was dedicated to a chapel." A new chapel building was built in 1904. The year of this installation is unclear; unknown in which existance of the chapel this organ was installed.
Identified through information in Classified List of Hall Organs, published in 1929 by Hall Organ Co., West Haven, Connecticut.
