From church history web page: "A disastrous fire in 1896 destroyed the chancel and sanctuary of the church which were subsequently repaired and improved." The Haskell organ was almost surely a part of that repairing and "improving" of the church building. The building had been completed in 1867. It is unknown what organ, if any, occupied the sanctuary before the Haskell.

The church now has a 1992 organ by Nicholson & Co. Ltd. It is not known if the HAskell was intact until the installation of the new organ.
