Updated through online information from Scot Huntington. -- All that is known about this organ comes from a single entry in the St. Michael's Church history. This was the third building serving St. Michael's, constructed in 1851. The 1823 Thomas Hall organ was sold at auction for $300, to Trinity Church in neighboring Milton, CT. The next mention of an organ in the church records, records the gift of a new instrument in 1911.
Replaced an 1823 Thomas Hall which was moved to Trinity Episcopal, Litchfield, CT. Replaced at St. Michaels in 1911 by Hall Organ Co., New Haven, and moved to St. Paul's Episcopal, Bantam, CT, where it survived until 1954.
