While it is almost certain this was a partnership of James R. McFarland and William A. Visscher, the start date is problematic. Visscher worked with McFarland from 1973-1976, but Fox indicates the firm started in 1969. One solution would be that the firm started in 1969 as James McFarland & Co., became McFarland & Visscher in 1973, and then reverted to its previous name in 1976 when Visscher left the firm.
